This past weekend I went to my bf's friend Josh's cottage in Harrington, Quebec. It was great to get a break from the city, especially in this kind of heat-wave weather. I got to relax, read a book I've been trying to finish since Christmas, eat lots of snacks, jump in the lake whenever I felt even the slightest bit hot, go on a pontoon boat, which is essentially just a floating dock with a motor attached to it, and drink a lot of white wine. I wish I could live at a cottage all year round. Here are some pics, if you care to see!
Josh’s cottage is super old but extremely charming. He’s in the process of building a basement for it, which explains why it’s on stilts right now and looks like it’s floating!
The cute lil kitchen with walls made of logs.
The balcony looking out onto the water. A balcony like this is a cottage essential, no?
Logs 'n life jackets!
Josh himself, unloading the car.
Unloading the weekend's necessity: alcohol.
This vintage couch blends in with the old-time feeling of the cottage.
Cool retro ceiling lights.
Nice light.
White wine in a cartoon glass, on the pontoon boat.
My bf Jesse and his lil Mr. Man pal on the boat.
The pontoon cruise boat.
Little Sir showing off his fruit!
Lemonade in a crystal glass.
The flooring of the cottage is this retro '60s design: I kinda like it!
The bright morning sun lighting this awesome traditional carpet.
Old flower wallpaper in the hallway.
Mixing patterns.
Fresh strawberries for snackin'.
Dirty - yet pretty - dishes.
A cottage on an island.
Enjoying a few drinks on one of many boat rides.
The Josh Man, host and boat captain extraordinaire, pounding back the brewskies!
And there you have it! My awesome cottage weekend! Thanks Josh for having us!
