Another day at the Cinema

It's Sunday again. Today we're playing Hysteria, Marley, The Whale, Amador, and some silent films. I can't even describe how horribly annoying it is when a group of 4 friends, for example, walk in and all stand around the cash together and one tells me, "Four tickets for Marley," and so I go, "Okay, that's $46.00," and then they go, "Oh, but we're paying separately." Then don't tell me you want 4 tickets! Say, "I'll have one ticket for Marley." Sometimes in response I get, "It's $46.00 for ONE ticket!?" YA. YA it's over forty bucks to see a feature film. Learn some freaking ticket-buying skills, people!

Today I also got the usual comment of, "Why don't you accept credit cards?" (note: the cinema I work at does not accept credit cards and there are two big signs at the cash so people will GET IT. having to answer questions relating to this policy - among other things - has become the bane of my existance). I don't know why we don't accept credit cards, Mister. When I started working here we didn't accept them. My boss decided this long before I was even hired. Some businesses have rules like CASH ONLY so I friggin' don't know WHY we don't accept credit cards. Talk to the owner about his decisions to allow or not the use of plastic.

Thank god tomorrow's Monday.
